Happy Anniversary!

Wow. I can't believe Dave and I have been married one whole year now. Well, a year since August 8th... I'm a little late on this blog. It feels like just yesterday we were in San Diego getting married on the beach! I would have never expected my first year of marriage to be ANYTHING like it has been. Our initial plan was for both of us to finish school. Get some traveling in. And after 2-3 years start having kids. But life goes nothing like you plan! I would have never expected to find out I was pregnant just a short 3 months into marriage. And I would have never thought in my wildest dreams that I would have twins!! Then having to quit school in the middle of the semester and quit my job in the same day to be on bed rest for 3 months. Then having the babes! It was truly a crazy first year of marriage. Even though it was completely opposite of how I had imagined it... looking back now, I can't see it going any other way. It was great. Challenging. Hard. Stressful. Exciting. Happy. And a million other things. I really feel like our first year made us stronger. I always tell Dave that if we got through our first year... there is no way we can't handle anything else that comes our way!!! I'm really looking forward for all the years to come and everything those years will bring. Both of us finishing school. (Yes. I'm going back eventually.) Dave applying for Dental school. Buying our first home. DOGS!!! More babies. Traveling. And so much more :)

Dave was sweet and got me a teeny tiny white gold band. I've been wanting one forever because I'm not one to take my ring with me everywhere. I don't like to take it on vacation, or swimming, or hiking, or to the gym, etc... I just have this fear of something happening to it. So I've been wanting one I can wear at events like that. I absolutely love the ring he got! It's so dang cute. And I stuck with the first year theme of paper. I got us tickets to The Parade of Homes. And tickets to see Brad Paisley in September.

In celebration... we took things easy! It's a little hard when you have two babies to go spend the night at some nice hotel or take a weekend vacation. On August 8th we celebrated by going to The Original Pancake house with my family. And then we saw some houses in The Parade of Homes. Later that evening my mom watched the babes while we went to dinner at Market Street and saw Dinner for schmucks. It was a perfect first year outing together :)
At The Parade of Homes and out to dinner and a movie
