Juno

Since I can remember I have always been a dog lover. All through elementary school a dog was all my siblings and I wanted. And when I was in 4th grade... we finally got our dog. It was the night of my 4th grade recorder program. My family was getting ready to leave our house when someone knocked on the door. There were our neighbors with sweet Juno, telling us she had been at Macy's grocery store in a box with other puppies, being given away for free. We were all on our knees begging and begging to keep her and our parents finally gave the go ahead. The rest is history... she was a crazy puppy. She ate/destroyed literally everything in sight. She constantly escaped our backyard and we would spend hours chasing her through the neighborhood. We would have her pull us down the street on our rollerblades. She jumped on the trampoline with us. As she matured she became a dog whom we enjoyed taking on walks and loved very much. Old age hit her quickly and we soon realized it was time for her to go. Last night she was put down. It was really hard to say goodbye to Juno. She was a part of our family for 14 years. As hard as it was I am glad that she isn't in pain or suffering any more. I left my parents house last night feeling gratitude for having had her as a dog. And feeling hopeful that one day we will have dogs of our own, and Trey and Easton and other children to come will grow up knowing what it's like to have pets, and know the joy that they bring into the home :)

Our first weekend getaway!

Over the weekend Dave and I left the babies for the first time and went to Zermatt Resort. This was a gift to us from a friend when we were married. Since we had babies right off, it took us awhile to get around to using this awesome gift package. It was a very nice and relaxing weekend. We ate tons of food, hung out in the hot tub, had a couples massage, visited some "Ice Castles", and mostly just relaxed! It was nice to get away for a short while and enjoy some of the things we are no longer able to, like sleeping in! I would recommend a little getaway like this to any parents out there. Everyone needs a break, and grandparents love taking on babies for a bit :) As great as it was, we missed Trey and Easton so much. We were so excited to come home to our babies. Due to lots of lounging around I hardly took any pictures, but here's a few :)

A doggie and a froggie

I love bath time pictures. There's just something about a little naked baby or a little naked baby all wrapped up in a silly towel. I can't help but take a million pictures :)

8 months

Trey and Easton are 8 months today! Just like every other mom out there says... I can't believe how fast they are growing. Some fun things about Trey and Easton:

Easton has discovered his vocal chords and loves to scream... LOUD!

Trey has also discovered his vocal chords... but in a different way. He likes to growl.

They are sitting now, although, I still like to keep pillows behind them because every once in awhile they fall back and bonk their heads.

Neither of them have teeth yet.

Neither of them are crawling yet.

They love to hang out in their walkers.

I decided to teach them baby sign language. We are currently working on that and in a couple of months we will hopefully see some signing from these boys! Here's to 8 months! :)
