I had my 6 week appointment on Tuesday. Everything is going very well regarding my pregnancy recovery. I decided since I had such an easy pregnancy, an easy delivery, and an easy recovery I should become one of those surrogate mothers. Not really. But it might be kinda cool.
After 6 weeks I've decided to start supplementing along with breast feeding. People think I'm crazy for trying to only breast feed. But "breast is best" right? I think so. Especially since we have given Easton several different kinds of formulas and he throws up his entire bottle after drinking it. That's enough proof for me.
Easton had an appointment today for his head. It is healing well. We no longer have to put his medication on it and change his dressings twice a day. Now we just have to put Neosporin on it. No beanie! No dressing! No tape ripping his hair out! Yay!
So now that Easton's head is better we're pretty sure he has a hernia. Which is corrected by surgery :(
Trey rolled over from his belly to his back at 3 weeks. Freak accident? I don't think so. He has done this a total of 3 times now.
My sister-in-law who had twins told me when we went out and about with the babes we would get lots and lots of attention from perfect strangers. So true. I feel like a celebrity we get so much attention. Everyone wants to get a look at our little twinners.
I took some clothes of mine to Plato's Closet. They took 4 items and offered me $8. And I took it! That money was like gold to me. It's the first amount of money I could call mine since March. I was planning on using it on something wonderful, like going to lunch with a girlfriend or something. The most exciting part would have been not having to ask Dave for money. And then I had to use that $8 on gas :(
I have two ingrown toenails right now. Last time I had to deal with this was in 8th grade and they were so bad I had to have them surgically removed. Let's hope this isn't the case this time around.
I got sick of Wii fit sighing and telling me how overweight I am every time I step on the board. I finally started going back to the gym. My legs kill. And I'm going to Zumba tonight for the very first time :)
I'm caving in after 6 months of attempting to go back to my natural hair color. It's just too hard. I don't have the patience to deal with orange hair as my dirty blonde/brownish hair grows back in. I've scheduled my appointment! I will be a brunette once again.
For the first time since I've been married I went grocery shopping by myself. How nice of Dave to always come with me.
I'm on this heath kick right now and attempting to not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup in it. Which pretty much means I can't eat anything unless it's all natural. This makes grocery shopping expensive. Dave will most likely come grocery shopping with me next time to make sure things don't get too out of hand ;)
My mom has been amazing with helping me out with the babies. She's done so much for us, and ME! Like buying me a cute yellow swim suit from Victorias Secret, and I'm so very grateful.
Dave's parents moved last November and I miss their old house. It takes me back to the exciting days of dating Dave. Although, I thoroughly enjoy their condo due to the pool I can go to any day... for free.
This summer should be considered the "summer of love" due to two of my best friends getting married and one who is getting married in a couple of weeks. Attending showers and receptions has been lots of fun. I love seeing my girlfriends happy and in love :)
I have a new obsession with strawberries. I could eat them all day every day. But I don't. Citrus fruits tend to disagree with babies bellies. Lame.
I'm really looking forward to college football right now. Mostly so we can dress Trey and Easton up in cute U of U attire. Yes. We are raising our children right.
And lastly... Katy Perry's song California girls is my new favorite song. It really makes me wish I was a California girl so I could have sun kissed skin so hot I'd melt your popsicle ;)

I love this post. I'm always thinking a million things like that and I love the rambling. That's probably why we could always talk for hours! :) I loved seeing you last weekend and I want that to happen more!
Love this! I have to say, Jake & I love California Girls and I have declared it as our "summer theme song." Which is funny because it's pretty opposite of what our life is like at the moment ;-)
Hey I just wanted to say good job with sticking with breastfeeding. Just ignore the people that think you are crazy for doing it with twins. It is definitely the best! I have breastfed our twins exclusively for almost 4 months and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. It helps the babies to be healthy and it helps you to lose your pregnancy weight. You can do it!
