Random post

I just don't have the time to do this as of late... so here's an update of the latest and greatest :)

I've recently become a nanny. Three days a week now I drive to my brothers' to take care of my baby nephew Carson. I take Easton and Trey with me as well. It's hard taking care of three babies at once but thank goodness for Dylan! My other nephew who is 7 and very helpful in the smallest of ways. The things we do for a little extra money...

My new guilty pleasure is Keeping up with the Kardashians. I'm embarrassed to even admit this. I think I lose brain cells every time I watch it. Thank you Netflix.

Oh yeah. We cancelled our cable and opted to get Netflix. We will see how long this lasts... Dave is already struggling with not being able to watch most sporting events. And HD! Oh how we miss you HD...

I really really want a sectional so that when guests come to our apartment I will feel like we have somewhere for them to sit... aside from the floor.

I'm not a crafty person. But I try. I envy those of you who have cute furniture and when I ask where it was purchased the answer is "DI" or "a yard sale" and it has been redone and looks AMAZING. Dave's Aunt gave us a dining table when we got married. It is nice, but I thought some redoing was a must. I have purchased everything to do this. But I'll admit, with these babies, and the patience I have when it comes to projects (which is zero) I think this project will be finished in five years. And by that time we'll be ready to just buy a new one :/

Exactly one year ago on November 1st was when I found out I was pregnant. I can't believe that was a whole year ago! Time is FLYING!

I love run-ins with old friends I haven't seen forever. I've had several as of late :)

My car is almost paid off. I am more than excited that soon enough we will have one less car payment to take care of every month!!

Easton and Trey are stinkin' cute.

And lastly... Halloween was great this year. A little stressful due to procrastinating. But our 3rd annual party was so fun and the babies were a hit. We already have our idea for next year :)

Carving pumpkins

I love Halloween. There is so much fun stuff to do :) We carved/crafted pumpkins with friends over the weekend. Great times. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this festive month!

4 months!

It's crazy that these babies are already 4 months! We had their 4 month appointment yesterday and it went very well. Both babies are healthy and exactly where they are supposed to be developmentally. Here are their stats!

Trey: 12.4 lbs... 8th percentile

23.5 inches... 10th percentile

head is 43.4... 70th percentile

Easton: 11.13 lbs... 5th percentile

24 inches... 23rd percentile

head is 43... 60th percentile

So basically our babies are really really little guys with big heads :) They are so much fun these days. They have started to laugh and it is the greatest thing ever. My favorite thing as of late is to put them on their play mat together. After awhile they have moved around quite a bit. The end result is usually Easton crying because Trey has his hand on his face. Or Easton crying because Trey is kicking his belly. But this morning it was Trey crying because Easton was hugging him while simultaneously trying to eat the back of his head. Two babies are great :)

They love me.

They might not be aware of the fact yet. But I'm quite sure they love me.

They love daddy too. We need to take pictures in their outfits that say so :)

Labor Day weekend

Originally, we planned on going to Lake Powell. After taking the babies to Bear Lake for 5 days... I opted out. Something about 3 month old babies, camping, and hot weather just didn't appeal. Vacationing with babies is HARD!!! We were bummed, especially because I have never been to Powell. (So if you're reading this and you go on a consistent basis, INVITE US one of these days!! PLEASE! I'm desperate!) Anyway, we still had a great weekend. Here is what we did:

Friday: Swimming at Dave's parents. Lunch @ Iggy's. Hanging out/playing games with my family. Best part... my mom learning how to play Farkle and being her silly self. We laughed our dang heads off!!

Saturday: Boating with Brinly and Korey @ Utah Lake. Bee's game with Cassie and Danny. Best part... Brinly boogie boarding behind the boat while simultaneously having her swim bottoms almost come off. She mooned us for a good 5 minutes straight! I got great pictures, but I won't post them ;) Also, hanging out with friends we don't hang out with on a super consistent basis.

Sunday: A nice day of relaxing. Surprise visit from family. Hanging out with Brinly and Korey.

Monday: Boating with my family up @ Jordanelle. Boating isn't something my family does so it was fun to be able to take them :) We got our last runs of tubing, wake boarding, and skiing in!!
